Let's face it,I'm not putting my face on each and everyday in lockdown, but there are some days when I really miss my regular morning routine and swiping on a couple of products helps to establish some normalcy. However, even when I do put makeup on, I tend to use a lot less product, so I thought I'd do a post on what I'm actually using and which products are great for a natural, fuss-free makeup routine.
This dewy foundation is the ideal product for a day in lockdown - it's lightweight, natural and has SPF 15. TBH I never really used it much before lockdown, as I would usually opt for a fuller coverage foundation, but I'm so glad to have it now. It's also a great budget buy.
2.Sorbet Shimmer & Glow Shimmer Bronzer in Just Peachy
While I'm not a huge fan of using this as a bronzer - it's a bit too pink for me - I love using it as an eyeshadow. It's super pigmented, blendable and is perfect for creating a peachy, care-free eye look.
3. Sorbet Browsability Browshaper in Dark Brown
I don't know what it is, but when I have my eyebrows on I just feel so much more put together and lately I've been reaching for the Sorbet Browsability Browshaper. I have naturally dark eyebrows, so finding a product that matches them but isn't too dark can be a tough ask, that's why I love this product. Plus it also stays put really well and can even resist the 3 o'clock accidental eye rub.
4. Sorbet Way Out Lashes
Where to begin with this mascara? I just flat out love it. It's got a super long and thin wand meaning you can really get in there, especially with the pesky bottom lashes and it lasts all freaking day long. It's naturalish looking, but can also be quite dramatic if you apply a few coats. I also find that it doesn't irritate my eyes or run at all, which is a win in my books.
5. Rubi Nail Polish
Since it's impossible to go out and get your nails done, the whole world has turned to doing their own, including me. And to be frank, I'm quite enjoying it, it reminds me of being a teenager again and spending hours every Friday choosing the perfect shade only to have to take it off on Sunday evening before school on Monday morning. Anyways, I haven't been agonising over choosing the perfect shade, because I've found it - Rubi Nail Polish in nude. It's Cotton On's own cosmetics brand and I'm really impressed by it's quality and staying power. That being said, it obviously does chip after 2 to 3 days of wear, but that's why I love this colour so much, because unlike bright colours, the wear and tear is much less noticeable.
6. Luma Illuminating Highlighter in Luminous Light
I'll be honest this product wasn't love at first use for me, but the more I tried it, the more I began to like it. I think what's best about it is that you can apply it with your fingers, so there's no need to faff around with a brush or beauty blender. It also provides the perfect natural highlight and because of it's vaseline-like texture it's amazing to use in winter, when my skin is at it's driest.
