When it comes to glowing, care-free makeup you won't find much better than Australian brand, Luma Beauty or so they say. I'm a sucker when it comes to highlighter (the brighter, the better, right?) So I was super excited to get my hands on some Luma Beauty products, I was sure it would be love at first sight, but it wasn't.
Sure, my initial reaction to the products was disappointment, however, I'm not one to quit on a product so easy and during lockdown I spent a decent amount of time going through my makeup stash and trying out products I wouldn't usually reach for including the Luma Beauty On the Glow Highlighter Stick, Illuminating Highlighter and Liquid Light Illuminating Face Primer. As it turns out first impressions aren't always true and I've really grown to love these products.
PS. Luma Beauty is cruelty free!
On the Glow Highlighter Stick
Although,I tend to favour powder highlighters as they sit better on my skin, this highlighter has far surpassed any of my other favourites. I have it in the shade Take Me Topaz, which is the perfect peachy bronze colour. It's honestly become a go-to for me - I just feel like it adds some much needed warmth to my face and it's super easy to apply. Another great thing about Luma Beauty is that the products are all multi-use.
I'll be honest, when I first tried this product I hated it. It has the same consistency as vaseline - thick and greasy, so it does tend to feel quite heavy on the skin. But it is a pretty decent highlighter, I don't think I would repurchase it, but I'll definitely finish what's left. It's also good to use for eyeshadow. I know, I know, primers are so 2015, and I've never been their biggest fan. In terms of staying power, I don't think the Liquid Light Illuminating Face Primer does much, however it does help in terms of creating a smooth and glowing base for your foundation. It feels light and breathable on the skin and really helps in creating that luminous look. I particularly like using it under more high-coverage foundations.
